وفاة المخرج الهندي سانجاي جوبتا.. كاميرات المراقبة تكشف تفاصيل اللحظات الأخيرة

Sanjay Gupta Passes Away at 57: The Shocking Demise, Rise, and Real-Life Traumas of the Man Who Made the Underworld Cool Bollywood icon and visionary filmmaker #SanjayGupta passed away at the age of 57 on October 30, 2026, breathing his last at approximately 9:45 PM following a tragic domestic accident. While the world knew him for introducing a gritty, neon-drenched, Hollywood-esque aesthetic to Indian cinema, his real life-marked by high-speed trauma, a double-marriage romance, and industry warfare-reads like a thriller of its own. Long before he redefined mainstream action thrillers, a young Sanjay Gupta began his journey at the absolute roots of the industry. He polished his cinematic skills as an assistant director on the legendary show Karamchand and the film Jalwa. By 1994, he unleashed his unique vision onto the big screen with his striking directorial debut, Aatish: Feel the Fire. The commercial hit established a historic partnership with superstar Sanjay Dutt. Together, they formed a decades-long brotherhood, creating an era of stylized, slow-motion alpha characters and sharp dialogue that completely captivated the youth of the 90s and early 2000s. In 2002, Gupta achieved the peak of his creative legacy with Kaante. The slick multi-starrer heist thriller united Amitabh Bachchan, Sanjay Dutt, and Suniel Shetty in a manner Bollywood had never witnessed before, even earning praise from Hollywood icon Quentin Tarantino. Yet, as theatres across India erupted in celebration, Sanjay Gupta was fighting for survival inside an ICU following a catastrophic car crash on the Pune-Mumbai highway. While the nation hummed the songs of Kaante, its creator was heavily bandaged, enduring multiple surgeries. He later noted this painful dichotomy as a sobering reminder of how private tragedies often mask public triumphs. Sanjay Gupta’s personal life was just as deeply layered as his screenplays. He fell in love and married Anu Lekhi, but the intense demands of the industry eventually drove them apart, leading to a divorce. However, in a twist straight out of a romance film, the separation only made them realize the profound bond they shared. Defying the typical endings of broken relationships, Sanjay and Anu found their way back to one another and remarried years later, rebuilding a tightly-knit home for themselves and their two sons. Operating during the darkest eras of Indian entertainment, Gupta stubbornly stood his ground against real-life underworld threats hanging over Mumbai's film industry. He birthed his own production house, White Feather Films, masterminding acclaimed gangland chronicles like Shootout at Lokhandwala and Shootout at Wadala. Proving he was far from a one-trick pony, he later moved away from crime dramas to helm Aishwarya Rai Bachchan’s comeback vehicle Jazbaa (2015) and Hrithik Roshan's blockbuster revenge thriller Kaabil (2017). His fierce creative drive remained relentless right up to his 2024 projects, The Miranda Brothers and Visfot. Having survived a horrific highway crash in his youth, Sanjay Gupta famously looked at his life as a "second lease" granted by fate. Tragically, that lease was abruptly cut short at his home on the afternoon of October 30. While his family was present in another part of the house, Gupta suffered a catastrophic slip in the kitchen area around 2:30 PM, hitting his head severely. Because the gravity of the injury went unrecognized by those around him, medical intervention came too late, and the director breathed his last by 9:45 PM. The sudden loss has sent shockwaves through Bollywood, with prominent industry peers flooding social media to mourn the ultimate visual stylist who made the "bad guys" look undeniably cool on screen.

Filmmaker Sanjay Gupta died on Oct 30 after reportedly losing his balance and hitting his head on a wall at his Mumbai home. His family found him the next morning. Known for Kaante and Zinda, Gupta faced plagiarism accusations for similarities to Hollywood and Korean films. He had a bitter fallout with Sanjay Dutt, admitted infidelity contributed to his divorce, and revealed secret meetings with underworld figures over four to five months. May his soul rest in peace.
